Are You Enjoying the Snow in Sussex, or Would You Prefer to Take a Safari in Kenya?
The first snow of winter 2009 has arrived! Even on the South Coast where it’s quite unusual to get more than a few snow flurries, the snow has already started to settle. The kids are all excited because it could mean school breaking up a few days early! Of course it’s not just the children who enjoy the snow. Even though I am nearing my mid 40’s, I still love the first snowfall of winter.
If only it could have held off just one more week though and then we could have had a white Christmas. Call me soppy, but I still get a real tingle at the thought of drawing the curtains back on Christmas morning and seeing that we have had a heavy snowfall during the night and everywhere has that magical feeling about it.
The reality is that it will probably be blowing a gale with rain gushing against the window and all dark and depressing. At least with the weather so bad I have an excuse to light the coal fire and sit down and watch the television all afternoon.
Oh the joys of Christmas, it doesn’t get much better does it?
Well as it happens it does. I have already picked up lots of travel brochures so I can work my way through them and see where I can be heading for my next holiday.
I have such a selection, Safari Holidays, Kenya Holidays, Florida Holidays, Las Vegas holidays, you name the destination, I probably have the brochure.
I love looking through the brochures seeing what sort of adventure I can plan and what sort of hotel I can book. Some of the accommodation is so plush and if you choose you can book an all inclusive deal. At the other end of the spectrum you could choose to book something completely unique and spend your evenings in a tent enjoying the beautiful night sky. From a personal point of view I enjoy my creature comforts a little too much, so much as the night sky may be stunning, I would prefer to be looking at my hotel ceiling.
Wherever I do head off to, I know it will be great as I will be with my family and we always have great holidays and enjoy new experiences.
